Posthuman - A Bloomberg Docuseries

In the second half of 2024, I had the privilege of contributing to our research featured in Bloomberg's Posthuman docuseries, hosted by Emily Chang. As part of the team, I worked on coordinating our computer graphics efforts to align the project with Prof. Hossein Rahnama's vision for Perspective-Aware AI (PAi).

PAi encodes an individual's expertise, experiences, and attitudes into a knowledge graph, enabling others to see the world through that lens. For instance, this can provide immersive interactions with domain experts that generally wouldn’t be accessible to the general public.

In the docuseries, we showcased how these systems can integrate with virtual avatars for human-like interaction. My focus has been on exploring applications in XR environments, envisioning scenarios where users engage with expert avatars in real time. I'm particularly excited about the potential impact on mental health, where these systems could provide accessible, on-demand therapy support through AI-driven avatars.

Note that these knowledge graphs can be created for entities such as companies, cities and countries and aren’t limited to individuals. It will be exciting to see how we can benefit from seeing the world through a city’s or country’s lens. We believe that our OpenDome framework will be key technology that will advance our research in this domain.

Collaborating with Emily Chang and the Bloomberg team was an inspiring experience, and I'm proud to have been part of a project that pushes the boundaries of technology and its role in redefining human interaction.
