contextual data, resolving into a scene

OpenDome is a framework that lets both our internal teams at Flybits Labs and non-technical users create immersive XR experiences. By integrating with Flybits’ core platform, it pulls content and data-driven insights into virtual environments.

At its core, OpenDome is enabling technology that bridges Flybits’ AI and data capabilities with XR environments. For enterprise clients like major banks, this means marketers can deliver highly targeted campaigns that reach the right customers at the right time. Drawing on Flybits’ contextual data, OpenDome keeps those immersive experiences relevant.

Through OpenDome Studio, our web-based platform, non-technical users can attach decentralized data sources and visualizations to virtual spaces. This allows 3D elements to be dynamically targeted to specific customer demographics, ensuring the delivery of personalized content within immersive environments.

As the head architect of OpenDome, I oversee everything from vision and UX to software engineering. It’s an exciting project because it opens up XR to people who can’t write code. Pulling decentralized data sources securely into XR environments is a hard problem, and OpenDome is our foundation for solving it.

We’ve presented example use cases for OpenDome at a number of conferences, and the project continues to evolve as a platform for the next generation of immersive enterprise experiences.
